LoTW, HrdLog, Club Log and QRZ - uploading the log

The LogBook can upload your QSOs to internet services: QRZ, LoTW (ARRL), HrdLog and Club Log. It does so manually on your command, when the program closes or in the background every few dozen minutes. Every QSO remembers where it has already been sent.

Service settings

Each service has its own page in the configuration (F11). Each page has a "send to…" checkbox, login data, options to remove the prefix and suffix from callsigns (all recommended) and an Apply and send LogBook to … button - it saves the settings and uploads the unsent QSOs right away.

QRZ

Requires a paid QRZ subscription and an API key - see QRZ.

LoTW

LoTW accepts QSOs only through the ARRL TQSL (TrustedQSL) program - you need it installed, with your callsign certificate and a station location set up.

When TQSL considers all QSOs duplicates or outside the station location date range, the program marks them as sent. When this applies only to some of the QSOs - read the TQSL message shown in the upload window.

HrdLog

Club Log

Lock after an error. When Club Log reports an error (e.g. a wrong password), the program suspends uploading so that the service does not block your account for repeated wrong attempts. Correct the data and click Unlock sending to Club Log on the Club Log page. Club Log also limits how often you can upload - after a limit message wait a minute.

Manual upload

Menu → Send LogBook to external services (QRZ etc.) or Ctrl+Q opens the Send QSO to external services window:

The same window has a Send QSL cards button - sending cards by e-mail (QSL cards).

When closing the program

Configuration → Schedule page → Check on LogBook closing and the choice of services. When there are unsent QSOs from the last 48 hours at closing time, the upload window appears. Back to LogBook (cancel program closing) keeps the program open.

In the background on a schedule

Schedule page → Services schedule: Use schedule, Check every N minutes (with a small random spread) and the choice of services. The program then uploads by itself, in the background - the progress is shown in the status bar at the bottom of the LogBook window (X stops it), and an error is signaled by a red !!! (click it to read the description).

Background and closing-time uploads include only QSOs from the last 48 hours. Upload older QSOs (e.g. after an import) manually. In no-internet mode (locked clusters) the schedule does not run.

Upload flags

Every QSO has flags: sent to QRZ, LoTW, HrdLog, Club Log, and from QRZ also the confirmation status. You can see them in the QRZ column of the list and in the QSO edit window, where you can change them by hand. For many QSOs at once: QSO edit → Advanced → Change sent - e.g. Mark as not sent for LoTW if you want to upload the log again (List and QSO editing).
