List and QSO editing

The list below the entry fields shows your log (when My LogBook is selected). This is where you correct, delete, copy and print contacts.

Columns

In a standard log the columns are: Date time, Callsign, RST sent, RST rcvd, Freq. Band, Mode, Flag, Country, Name, Email, comments, Grid, QRZ and Email QSL. In the POTA, SOTA, LLOTA and WWFF templates one of the columns shows the other station's park, summit, lake or reference.

ColumnMeaning of the symbols
QRZTwo characters. The first: ✓ - QSO sent to QRZ, ✗ - not sent. The second: confirmation in QRZ - ✓ confirmed, ? confirmation requested, 👁 request viewed, ⛔ request rejected, ✗ not confirmed.
Email QSLTwo characters: QSL card by e-mail sent / received (✓ or ✗). Clicking the cell shows a preview of the card, if there is one.

Under Linux (Wine) letters are used instead of the symbols: v, X, S, R.

Column layout

Right-click the list header:

You can also move columns by dragging the header and change the width by dragging its edge. Clicking a header sorts the list ascending, a second click descending, a third switches sorting off (the arrow in the header shows the direction). The program remembers the layout separately for the log and for each cluster.

Right-click a QSO (with several rows selected - on one of them):

ItemWhat it does
EditThe QSO edit window (same as a double-click).
DeleteDeletes the selected QSOs (also the Delete key). The program asks for confirmation.
SearchA search field below the list (Ctrl+F), the → arrow searches further.
Show previous QSO info in LogBook for the selected callsignA window with the history of contacts with this station (visible when the previous QSOs window is enabled in the configuration).
Share a spot on Telnet clusterClusters and spots
Copy CallSign to Clipboard, Copy Frequency to ClipboardTo paste into another program.
Send QSL via e-mailA QSL card for the selected QSOs - QSL cards.
Copy / PasteCtrl+C / Ctrl+V - copying QSOs, also to another LogBook (see below).
Copy current Cell value to Clipboard, Copy selected row(s) to Clipboard (csv), Copy all rows to Clipboard (plain or csv)Text to paste e.g. into a spreadsheet.
Working BeforeNarrows the list to the station in the callsign field (F6).
Show on QRZ.comThe station's page in the web browser.
Print LogBookPrints the list (Ctrl+P) - what you see, e.g. after filtering.

Moving QSOs to another LogBook

  1. Select QSOs in the list (Ctrl or Shift + click selects many) and press Ctrl+C.
  2. Change the LogBook in the configuration (LogBook page → LogBook name).
  3. Click the list and press Ctrl+V. QSOs that are already in this log are skipped.
  4. If the QSOs should disappear from the old log - go back to it and delete them.

Whole logs are merged with Merge LogBooks into one - LogBooks and backups.

Editing a QSO

Double-click a QSO to open the Edit Logbook Record window with all fields of the contact.

When you move to another QSO with unsaved changes, the program asks whether to save them (you can make it remember the answer). The Auto-save changes in QSO edit option (configuration → LogBook → Behavior) saves without asking. A date change always needs confirmation.

Advanced mode - changes in many QSOs

The Advanced button adds Copy to all buttons next to fields (your callsign, your grid, power, band, mode, your program fields and your comment) and a choice of range:

This mode also has Query all - getting QRZ data for the whole range (with the Replace exist. option, i.e. overwriting filled fields; best with a paid QRZ account) and Change sent - changing the upload flags (QRZ, LoTW, HrdLog, Club Log, QSL) for many QSOs at once.

Advanced mode changes many QSOs at once and there is no undo button. Before a bigger change make a backup (LogBooks and backups). The program keeps the last 11 versions of the log file anyway - after a mistake use Restore LogBook from backup.

Deleting QSOs

Select QSOs and press Delete (or Delete in the list menu). Every change that rewrites the log (deleting, editing, importing) leaves a copy of the previous version of the file, so deleted QSOs can be recovered with Restore LogBook from backup. All QSOs at once are deleted with Delete QSOs in LogBook in the configuration (LogBook tools page).

Printing

Print LogBook (Ctrl+P) opens the Printer configuration window: printer, paper, orientation, margins, number of copies, colors and table lines. What is visible in the list is printed - to print e.g. one day, set a filter first.
