LogBook - where to start
RigAndLog is a QSO log (LogBook) and radio control (the Rig window) in one program. This help covers the LogBook: logging QSOs, the QSO list, clusters, QRZ, uploading logs, QSL cards, contests and maps. The radio and how to connect it are described in the separate Radios help.
The program in three sentences
- Every contact (QSO) goes into a LogBook - a plain file on disk in the program folder. You can have many LogBooks, e.g. a separate one for each park activation or each contest.
- The LogBook window has the entry fields at the top (callsign, reports, frequency, time…) and the list below: your QSOs or spots from clusters (POTA, SOTA, DX Cluster…).
- Everything else - QRZ, LoTW, QSL cards by e-mail, maps, ADIF export - is an add-on to the same log. Use it if you like, but you do not have to.
A simplified window layout. Every element is described on the LogBook window page.
